This Thanksgiving season, participants in the race will have a special opportunity to make a difference in the lives of local families. Christian Action Ministries (CAM) will be at the start line collecting canned and non-perishable food donations to help support neighbors in need throughout Taney County.
As you prepare for race day, please consider bringing two canned food items to donate. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps provide meals and hope to families facing food insecurity during the holiday season.
For more than 40 years, Christian Action Ministries has been serving the residents of Taney County with a mission rooted in faith and compassion. Since 1984, CAM has
worked to share the love of Jesus Christ by providing practical assistance to individuals and families in need.
The ministry’s Food Pantry is made possible through the generous support of local individuals, churches, businesses, and a dedicated team of volunteers who faithfully give their time and talents to serve others. Together, they make an incredible impact on the community every year.
Last year alone, Christian Action Ministries provided:
- More than 40,000 individual cases of assistance
- Nearly 500,000 meals
- Over 2 million pounds of food distributed
These remarkable numbers represent real families who received support during difficult times and were reminded that their community cares.
