Forty-eight years is a lot of starting lines.
In 2027, the Polar Bear Run celebrates its 48th annual event, continuing a winter running tradition that has been part of the Bolivar community for generations.
That history means today's participants aren't simply signing up for another 5K or 10K. They're joining thousands of runners who have taken on the Polar Bear Run before them.
Some come to race. Some come for the challenge. Others return because Polar Bear weekend has simply become a tradition.
