Cyclists of all experience levels are invited to participate in the Breakthrough T1D Ride, a community cycling event dedicated to supporting research, advocacy, and breakthroughs for those living with Type 1 Diabetes. Formerly known as the JDRF Ride, this annual event combines scenic Ozarks riding with a meaningful cause and an unforgettable day on two wheels.

Whether you're looking for a challenging endurance ride or a more relaxed cycling experience, participants can choose between a 50-mile route or a 30-mile route. Both courses feature beautiful countryside scenery, well-marked roads, rider support, and rest stops stocked with refreshments.

The 50-Mile Route: A Scenic Ozarks Challenge

The 50-mile route is designed for cyclists seeking a rewarding endurance ride through the rolling landscapes surrounding Springfield. Riders will enjoy a mix of rural roads, gentle climbs, and fast descents while experiencing some of the area's most scenic countryside.

The route includes scheduled rest stops where riders can refuel with snacks, hydration, and encouragement from volunteers. Support vehicles and ride personnel will be available throughout the course to assist participants if needed.

50 Mile Course

Highlights of the 50-Mile Ride:

  • Approximately 50 miles of scenic cycling

Riders will still enjoy rest stops, hydration stations, and course support while experiencing the camaraderie that makes the Breakthrough T1D Ride special.
