Springfield, MO - Friday, August 23, 2013, NAMI Southwest Missouri hosted the Annual Illuminating the Darkness 5K Run for Suicide Prevention at the Forest Institute.  Participants ran/walked along the Southcreek Trail, received a Glow in the Dark t-shirt and enjoyed PIZZA after the race!

Suicide is the eleventh leading cause of death in the U.S., and the third leading cause of death for ages 10 to 24 years.
