Carl Junction, MO - Saturday, December 17, 2011, the 2nd Annual Jack Frost 5K/10 Miler was an enormous success. It more than doubled in size from last year’s first annual Jack Frost Run!! Proceeds benefitted McAuley Catholic High School in Joplin, MO.
Both races started from Fir Road Christian Church and ended with runners battling the final hill to the finish line!! In the 5K, excitement was at the end with the top two finishers Nathan Fisher with a time of 16:52 and Ryan Davidson with a time of 17:20!! In the 10 miler, the overall male Anthony Reed with a time of 1:00:02 and overall female (also 2nd overall) Kimi Reed with a time of 1:00:58!! Yes, they are husband and wife and so far have won every race we’ve seen them compete in (I also noticed after they finished the 10 miler, they went out and ran some more).
