Join us for the 3rd Annual Butterflies & Blueberries 5k trail run/walk, lovingly honoring Amaris Eliana Young.

Saturday, August 9th, 2025, the race begins at 8am. Challenge yourself on the beautiful one of a kind trail at the Burton’s Blueberry Farm.

The course trail will take you through rows of Blueberry bushes where Amaris picked berries, over the ditch Amaris walked countless times to the upper patches and down and up the most challenging place on the course that we call, bubble mountain… winding through the big field where Amaris had practiced driving a standard. And down a hill that will lead you back to the start/finish line. This 3 time around trail will push you! But while you run or walk you will be encouraged and cheered on!

This year we have some exciting news!

The proceeds will be going to:

Christian Ministries Academy, honoring where Amaris graduated from.

Amaris was homeschooled from her freshman year to her Junior year in High School. Her Senior year, herself and 3 siblings attended Christian Ministries Academy. She enjoyed going to school and was a diligent student. She played volleyball, participated in music, drama and art class. Amaris treasured making memories her Senior year with her fellow Seniors.

Amaris turned 18, on July 8, 2022. The next couple weeks were full of countless memories with so many people.

On July 16, 2022, Amaris had a car accident and was life flighted to a local hospital, on July 26, 2022, she went to heaven. Participating in this 5k is more than a trail run, it honors and remembers Amaris’ beautiful life and blesses others, and Amaris loved to bless others.

This timed event will have awards for Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers. Awards will be presented by Amaris’ family after the race!

If you’re not really into running or walking in the 5k, we have something for you too!

There will be a breakfast with donation, beginning at 7am, with the famous Burton’s buttermilk pancakes & blueberry syrup! And if you don’t like pancakes, Check out the raffle!
