This year’s race event features a 5K and a NEW One-Mile Kids’ Freedom Fun Run. The Armed Forces 5K will begin and end at Joplin Family YMCA’s Downtown branch. People of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to walk or run in this annual event.

Awards and refreshments following the race. This event will be held rain or shine.

Proceeds benefit the Joplin Family YMCA military discount program.

START: Joplin Family YMCA Downtown
Head north on Wall Ave. Turn west onto 4th Street. Turn north on Sergeant Avenue, then west on 2nd Street. Continue west until turnaround point.
FINISH: Joplin Family YMCA Downtown

Child care will be available at no additional charge for race participants from 7:30am - 9:30am.

AWARDS
Awards for the Fun Run will be given to the top three male and female finishers.
Awards for the 5K:  Overall Male & Overall Female will receive a Trophy; and Top three male and female finishers in each of the following age categories will receive a Medal:
12 and under; 13 - 15; 16 - 19; 20 - 29; 30 - 39; 40 - 49; 50 - 59; 60+
