Calling all runners! We know there are a lot of different races out there, but there is only one with dinosaurs! Join us again for the Raptor Run 5K and 1 mile fun run. The winners in each category will receive hand-crafted raptor claws! This is the race for professionals, beginners and the whole family. With your help, we will be able to continue to build what will be the crown jewel of the museum...the largest triceratops ever discovered! Henry the triceratops is estimated to be 30% larger than any other triceratops and when he is complete, he will live right here in Springfield! Bring the family for a night of fun to help fund the Missouri Institute of Natural Science and Riverbluff Cave! Run or walk the 5K and/or Fun Run and stick around for free tours of the museum in addition to activities (some just fun, some educational!) for the kids. Enjoy the museum grounds on this sure to be Spectacular Spring Evening! Complete with fossil dig for kids, popcorn, snacks and other entertainment. For more information on the museum or the cave visit www.MoNatSci.org to register for the run visit ActNowRacing.com. The funds from this fundraiser will go to the museum and to aid continuation of the search for fossils within Riverbluff Cave. In addition, donations will aid in partnering with area schools to offer educational experiences to local students on Missouri’s natural history and its fragile ecosystem.
