Join us for the first Butterflies & Blueberries a 5k walk/run Honoring Amaris Eliana Young. Enjoy the challenging, yet beautiful course where Amaris spent many summers working for the Burtons during blueberry season, and making memories planting flowers, practicing driving a standard, fall bonfires & hay rides just to name a few! Proceeds will go to Leaders Academy in Hot Springs, Arkansas. 

 

Amaris was all set to start school in the fall with O.T.C.  in their dental hygienist program.  Our youth group attended High Point; a youth church retreat partnered with Leaders Academy. It was an amazing week for her. When she came home July 2, 2022, those plans for O.T.C. were put on hold, Amaris had been called to attended Leaders Academy! She was incredibly excited to see what God had in store for her on this new adventure. On July 16, 2022, a car accident changed everything, Amaris went to heaven on July 26,2022.  To honor Amaris' memory, her family would like to bless another student on their adventure as they are called to Leaders Academy. The goal is to cover tuition and cost of living. 

This is not a timed event. There will be awards for Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers. Awards will be presented after the race!
