You don't need running shoes, months of training, or a personal best to cross the finish line first at the Pomme de Terre Chamber Duck Derby.
You just need a fast duck!
Get ready for one of the most entertaining events of Labor Day weekend! The Pomme de Terre Chamber Duck Derby returns on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Outlet Park below Pomme de Terre Dam.
This family-friendly event brings the community together for an exciting day centered around one very important question: Will your duck be the first to cross the finish line?
Participants can purchase tickets to adopt their very own numbered rubber duck. Then, when the ducks are released into the water, the excitement begins as hundreds of ducks race downstream toward the finish line. Every duck has a chance to be a winner, making the Duck Derby a fun and easy way for everyone to join in the action.
Whether you are cheering for one duck or buying several to increase your chances, the Pomme de Terre Chamber Duck Derby is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, spend time with family and friends, and be part of a memorable community tradition.
The event takes place at Outlet Park, below the dam, providing a scenic setting for an afternoon filled with excitement, laughter, and plenty of duck-themed fun.
