Andrew Paasch was involved in a fire accident May 16, 2013.  He suffered both 2nd and 3rd degree burns on about 20 percent of his body.  Andrew had stayed at Via Christi Medical Center's burn unit in Wichita for about two weeks.  Due to difficulties he was sedated and kept on a ventilator the whole time.  Shrines were contacted and he was then transferred to the Shrines Hospital for Children in Cincinnati, Ohio. There he had under gone surgery to graft his left arm, left side of his face, and left knee.  Andrew was there for about two weeks.  Since being home Andrew attends outpatient therapy three days a week and follow up appointments in Cincinnati once a month.

Andrew is doing very well and getting back to the things he loved doing before the accident that includes playing ball, interacting with friends and family, building Lego blocks, and playing video games.  Everyday he show improvement.  A special thank you goes out to all Shrines for doing what they do best, helping children.
