Participants and supporters of the Butterflies & Blueberries 5K now have even more ways to celebrate this exciting event with exclusive apparel available for purchase.

In addition to race-day festivities, attendees can order commemorative hoodies and sweatshirts designed especially for this year’s event. These comfortable, high-quality items are perfect for showing support for the Butterflies & Blueberries 5K long after race day is over.

Whether you’re running, walking, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines, the additional swag offers a great opportunity to take home a meaningful keepsake while supporting the event’s mission and community spirit.

Both hoodies and sweatshirts feature event-themed designs and are available in a variety of sizes while supplies last. Participants are encouraged to place orders early to ensure availability.

The Butterflies & Blueberries 5K continues to bring together families, friends, and community members for a memorable day focused on wellness, connection, and fun. These new apparel options add another exciting element to an already special event.

Gobblin & Hobblin 3K Fun Run & 5K Brings Festive Fitness to Bolivar

The Bolivar Recreation & Aquatic Center will serve as both the starting and finishing point for the upcoming Gobblin & Hobblin 3K Fun Run & 5K, a community-focused event designed to bring together runners, walkers, and families for a fun and active morning.

Participants can choose between a relaxed 3K Fun Run or a more competitive 5K Timed Race, making the event accessible to all ages and fitness levels. The course begins at the Recreation Center and winds through scenic local spots, including Greenwood Cemetery and the Bolivar Golf Club. For added safety and comfort, the entire route avoids public streets.

Check-in and packet pickup will begin at 8:00 a.m., allowing participants time to get ready before the race kicks off at 9:00 a.m. After finishing, runners and walkers can enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks while connecting with fellow participants.

Adding to the excitement, attendees can enter a raffle featuring a variety of donated items, offering chances to win fun prizes.

The Gobblin & Hobblin event is designed to be family-friendly and inclusive. Families are encouraged to come out and “hobble” along the course together. Pets and strollers are welcome, provided that all pets are kept on a leash and under control at all times.

To ensure a safe environment for everyone, certain items are not permitted on the course, including bikes, scooters, skates, rollerblades, hoverboards, and skateboards.

Whether you're chasing a personal record or simply enjoying a festive outing with loved ones, the Gobblin & Hobblin 3K Fun Run & 5K offers a scenic, safe, and spirited way to get moving in Bolivar.

More Than a 5K: Pancakes, Raffles, Face Painting & Fun for Everyone!

Even if running shoes aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty to enjoy at this year’s 5K event! You don’t have to run or walk the course to be part of the fun—just come hungry and ready for a great morning with the community.

Starting at 7:00 AM, we’ll be serving a delicious breakfast by donation featuring the famous Burton’s buttermilk pancakes topped with blueberry syrup. It’s the perfect way to start your day while supporting a great cause. Not a pancake fan? No problem—there’s even more to enjoy!

Be sure to stop by the raffle table for a chance to win exciting prizes. Keep an eye on Facebook for updates on what raffle items will be included—you won’t want to miss it. Face painting will also be available at the event! You might even decide to grab one of the official 5K T-shirts, available for purchase separately while supplies last. And big Surprise this year! We have Hoodies and Crewnecks! These are only available online for preorder purchase and will also be ready to pick up on race day! You do not have to register to run to order these! The preorder deadline date for these is September 6, 2026, don’t wait, Get yours today!  

And don’t forget to make some memories while you’re there! Snap a special photo in front of the beautiful butterfly mural created by a local artist—a perfect keepsake from a fun-filled morning.
