Nixa, MO - The Lights on After School 5K Run/Walk was held Friday, October 26, 2012 on the Cross Country Course at Inman Intermediate in Nixa. This was a first annual event and the Race Director and volunteers did a fabulous job! Before the start of the race, as runners were arriving OPAA was passing out protein bars, making fruit smoothies, plus much more. Each participant received a glow in the dark t-shirt and following the 5K, Mad Science activities were taking place inside the gym. All proceeds from this event benefited the Nixa XLT Scholarship fund.
