Burtons Farm Billings, MO

Join us for the 2nd Annual Butterflies & Blueberries a 5k trail run/walk, lovingly honoring and remembering Amaris Eliana Young.

Enjoy the challenging, yet beautiful trail like course on the Burtons farm where Amaris spent many summers working for the Burtons during blueberry season, planting and picking flowers, practicing driving a standard, her sisters baby shower, fall bonfires & hay rides just to name a few!

A little of Amaris’ story.
Amaris was all set to start school in the fall of 2022 with O.T.C. in their dental hygienist program. Our youth group attended High Point in July of 2022; a youth church retreat partnered with Leaders Academy. It was an amazing week for her and when she came home July 2, 2022, she enthusiastically told us she’d decided to put those plans for O.T.C. on hold. Amaris had been called to attended Leaders Academy in the fall instead. Amaris was incredibly excited to see what God had in store for her on this new adventure.
On July 16, 2022, a car accident forever changed her plans and on July 26,2022, Amaris went to heaven.

To honor Amaris' memory, her family would like to bless another student on their adventure as they are called to Leaders Academy in Hot Springs Arkansas. The goal is to cover tuition and cost of living for a student.

There will be awards for Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers. Awards will be presented by her family after the race!

There will be a donation breakfast, with the famous Burtons buttermilk pancakes & blueberry syrup to be served!

    ActNow Promotions Waiver: I understand running is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and participate unless I am physically fit, mentally able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of the race officials relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I certify I am in good health and properly trained to run the distance of this race. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, all risks being known and being appreciated by me. I understand my entry fee is non-refundable. I understand that no refunds will be issued if event is cancelled due to weather, communicable disease/virus. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and considering your accepting my entry into this running event, I, for myself and my estate, heirs, survivors, descendants and anyone on whose behalf I may act (including all minor children and charges and their estates heirs and survivors), do hereby permanently and forever completely give up, surrender, waive, release and terminate any and all claims or liabilities of any kind, arising in tort, contract or otherwise, against ActNow Promotions/Racing, and their respective officials, directors, trustees, agents, volunteers, employees, sponsors and affiliates arising from my participation in this event, including but not limited to claims arising out of past or future negligence or carelessness on their part. I hereby consent to the use of image in photographs, videos and other recordings for promotional purposes.Registration fees are nonrefundable.
