GIRLS JUST WANNA RUN goes fully VIRTUAL

 It was with the full intention of having a live race that we launched this year’s event.

Unfortunately, due to the growing number of COVID-19 cases in our area in the last three weeks, with no downturn in sight, the decision has been made to go fully virtual.

The safety of our runners and community is the utmost priority of the CoxHealth Foundation and our sponsors and supporters.

Already registered? The drive up packet pick-up will be held Thursday, July 22 at the entry of the Meyer Center from 3-6 PM. Your shirt, medal and shoe light will be waiting!

Please complete your virtual race by Friday, August 6th and post your name, age and time on the CoxHealth Foundation website at this link: https://www.coxhealthfoundation.com/event/girls-just-wanna-run-presented-by-ricks-automotive/ or find it under the Foundation’s website Special Events tab for “Girls Just Wanna Run.”

Awards will be mailed to the top winners in each age group the following week. Don’t forget to post your “finish line” photo and tag us at the CoxHealth Foundation and hash tag #GJWR2021.

Girls Just Wanna Run is the most fun you can have doing a 5k or 10k while supporting local women.  Presented by Rick’s Automotive, an average 800 participants take part in this ladies only 5K/10K walk-run.

Proceeds benefit the CoxHealth Foundation’s Bethlehem Fund, supporting the pre-natal care of high-risk low-income mothers in our community to ensure a healthy delivery for mom and baby!
