Who Are You Running For?
The Massengale Group Hero Run 5K and community event is for active and retired military, veterans, and their family and friends. Founded by MGKW, whose business is comprised of several proud military families, and in conjunction with Nixa Education Foundation, and located in Nixa, Mo. This 5k is designed to benefit local kids of active and retired military and to promote awareness and support for those who serve. Last year, this run was able to raise $6000 in scholarship monies, that was fully awarded to a local Nixa Senior and daughter or one of our local military heroes. We can't wait to see what we can do this year with your help!!

Event Details
Opening Ceremony begins at 9:00 am
Band plays national anthem
Color guard performance- JROTC
5K Race Starts at 9:30 am
Fun Run Starts at 10:30am
Award ceremony following both races
Rules for event:
Each participant must stay on the designated route
Each participant should complete all designated exercises along the route. This is meant to be hard and challenge you.
Everyone will meet at the finish line upon completion of your run to cheer on the other participants. No man left behind.
ROUTE BATTLE STATIONS :
There will be 6, drill sergeant led, stations set up throughout the route with boot camp type exercises to challenge your mind and your body.
It won't be fun.
It won't be easy.

ENTRY FEE (+ Processing Fee):
Now until October 31, 2023 - Individual $40; November 1 to November 10, 2023 $45 and $50 day of the event
Now until October 31, 2023 - Register as a Team (Must have 4 People) $140; November 1 to November 10, 2023 $150 and $160 the day of the event.
Active military and Veterans run for free (must show military ID at registration)
Now until October 31, 2023 - Youth Age 13-18 years old $20; November 1 to November 10, 2023 $25 and $30 day of the event
Now until October 31, 2023 - Youth 12 & Under $15; November 1 to November 10, 2023 $20 and $25 day of the event
Now until October 31, 2023 - Adults 65 & Over $15; November 1 to November 10, 2023 $20 and $25 day of the event
The 1 Mile Fun Run is a Free Event, but a $10 donation is requested.
Awards & Medals
Overall top 3 runners (gender doesn't matter) in the 5K.
Overall Team Award - Fastest total time of all 4 runners in the 5K.
