Fordland, MO - Saturday, September 19, 2015 was the Annual Fordland Care to Learn 5K at Fordland City Park.  The days festivities featured a 5K run, CTL Logoa dunk tank, live auction, turtle races, games and a tasty pancake breakfast from 6:30-9:30 a.m., provided by the Fordland United Methodist Church at the elementary school. Vendors and booths are also set up throughout the day for people to enjoy.

All proceeds will go to the Fordland Care to Learn chapter, which meets health, hunger and hygiene needs for children. Last year’s event brought in over $10,426, the organization’s profit was $8,374.

The 5K Character Run and Kids Fun Run was a “dress as your favorite character” theme, where participants could dress up as their favorite video game, movie, book or even historical character. There was a trophy prize for the best individual costume and team costumes.
