On Thursday, May 7, 2015 CJ & I attended the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks Appreciation Celebration 2015, a Masquerade Ball at the Kentwood Ballroom in Springfield. BBBS of the Ozarks is the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

Our local running organization, Ozark Moutain Ridge Runners has released their Summer Calendar of events! Get involved it the fitness community and join them at one or all of their events. Everyone is welcome to attend. They have group 
runs, running seminars and of course the Annual Potluck Picnic!
Ozark Mountain Ridge Runners - Double Down

New this year, Ozark Mountain Ridge Runners announced they will be offering a Double Down desgination to runners who participate in the FRISCO run scheduled for April 25 and Run for the Ranch (Half, Marathon & 6 Hour) scheduled for December 19th. All Double Down finishers will receive a large fleece blanket with the Double Down logo laser etched onto one side.
