SAVE THE DATE - Tuesday, December 2, 2014, is the Ozark Mountain Ridge Runners Christmas Party. The party will be held at 6pm in Lincoln Hall Room 211 on OTC Springfield Campus. This year OMRR will be holding a chili cookoff. This is a kid friendly event so bring the whole family!
Individuals or teams of up to 4 people will bring a pot of chili. Individuals who are not bringing chili are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.
Awards (Trophies) for the Chili Cook Off will be based on votes of those in attendance in 3 categories:
1 - Overall Winner
2 - Most Creative
3 - Vegetarian

Help Battle Pediatric Emergencies - HOPE Foundation 5K

HOPE (Helping Overcome Pediatric Emergencies) Foundation provides financial and emotional support to families whose children are battling pediatric emergencies. Through fundraisers and the generous donations of our supporters we provide financial assistance to families in 22 counties in southwest Missouri. Each day a child is diagnosed with a severe illness, sustains a debilitating injury, and a family loses the battle with an illness.
FREE 5K - Miles for Mentors

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks has been in a month long recruitment campaign, "Miles for 
Mentors," which began on September 1, 2014. The campaign's purpose is to recruit Big Brothers for their 60+ young boys waiting to be matched with a Big Brother. Throughout the 30 day campaign, BBBS has been providing information about the program, as well as informing interested individuals and groups about the organization and what can be done to help improve the lives of children in need.
