Coach Jeff is the Head Coach at PRS FIT and has been training runners and triathletes for 17 years. Coach Jeff is the first Newton Certified Natural Running Coach, and worked as a consultant with Altra Zero Drop's Better Form Program. He is a Lydiard Certified Running Coach, a Certified Triathlon Coach, a trained nurse, Certified Personal Trainer and Master Swim Instructor.
"I created the Free Motion Running Program with simplicity in mind. Too many running programs today focus on completely revamping a person's running form to the point where running becomes a dauntingthought process. With Free Motion Running, we work on the on the simple basics that can easily help everyone run easy and free. Posture, position and cadence are the three basics that can make everyone a better runner."
Reeds Spring Beginners Walk/Run Group

If you want to begin a fitness/cardio program, the Reeds Spring Beginner Walk/Run group meets Thursdays at 6 pm at the Reeds Spring High School Track. National Running Day

National Running Day, held annually on the first Wednesday in June, is a day when runners everywhere declare their passion for running. It is a coast-to-coast celebration of a sport and activity that's simple, inexpensive and fun. It's the perfect way for longtime runners to reaffirm their love of running and for beginners to kick off a lifetime of life-changing commitment.
Join us and millions of runners across the world to celebrate National Running Day on June 4 2014 by running at Nathanael Greene Park, 2400 S. Scenic Avenue in Springfield from 6PM to 9PM, hosted by the Ozark Moutain Ridge Runners Organization.
Very low key event - OMRR will be providing water and bibs. Come out for whatever distance you want to run and fellowship with other OMRR members!
The 100 Mile and 150+ Mile Monthly Challenges

Each month a group of runners in the Springfield and surrounding areas challenge each other to run. Through these challenges each runner increases their monthly miles and their fitness level. To join the challenge is free and they offer medals, prizes, free entries, and various motivational awards for completing and winning the challenge. Currently they offer an intermediate challenge of 100 miles per month runners and an advanced challenge of 150+ miles per month for marathon runners. all you have to do is like the page and run. Once you have completed your run post your mileage on the page.
