Springfield, MO - The Boxer/Schnauzer Rescue of the Ozarks hosted the Muddy Paws 5K at Sac River Trail on Saturday, March 23, 2013. It was a perfect day for dogs to run around in the mud and play with friends!

Marshfield, MO - The Marshfield Optimist Club held their 5th Annual Shamrock Shuffle 5K & Little Lad and Lassie race on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Marshfield Community Center. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Foster Kids of Webster County. Last year the Optimist Club gave over $5,000 to Foster Kids & Families and they have high hopes of being able to do the same (or more) this year!

The second annual "Shamrock the Roads" was held today, March 9th, 2013. This is an annual 5k run/walk that the Alpha Psi chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority holds at and around Drury University. The run is to raise money for Kappa Delta's national philanthropy "Prevent Child Abuse America" and their local philanthropy "Isabel's House" the crisis nursery of the Ozarks.

Hollister, MO - The Hollister Elementary PTO & YMCA hosted the Run/Walk for Strong Kids 2013 on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Hollister YMCA. It was a chilly morning, but several runners and walkers came out to help support a great cause.

Joplin, MO - Saturday, February 2, 2013, the Joplin area YoungLife hosted the Cupid YoungLife 5K at McIndoe Park in Joplin. The event was a great success with the number of participants doubling from last year! The Cupid YoungLife event started with a Diaper Dash, which consisted of adults wearing Adult Diapers and completeing several Valentine's Day tasks while running approximately 100 meters. The 2nd event was the Couples Run, a three legged 100 meter race. The third and final event was the Cupid 5K! After the 5K, participants were encouraged stay around and participate in Crossfit.

Joplin, MO - Over 400 Runners/Walkers started their New Year off right with the Chilly 5K Challenge held at the Joplin Family YMCA. Tuesday, January 1, 2013. This was a point to point race beginning at the Downtown Facility and ended at the South Facility where Chili was served to all participants!
Proceeds of this event benefited the YMCA's Strong, Strong Community Campaign that makes programs and services available to low-income families.This event is made possible in part through the generosity of Mercy, Freeman Health System, Missouri Southern State University, Sam's Club and Cybex International.
