Mt. Vernon, MO - Mt. Vernon Veterans Home hosted the Remembering Our Heroes 5K on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Proceeds from this event benefit the Missouri Veterans Homes. The Missouri Veterans Homes manage a total of 1350 beds that provide long term skilled nursing care in compliance with 157 Federal Department of Veterans Affairs regulations. The Homes are located in Cameron, Cape Girardeau, Mexico, Mount Vernon, St. James, St. Louis, and Warrensburg.

Bolivar, MO - Saturday, October 31, 2015 was the Class 3 District 6 Championships held at Southwest Baptist University Campus in Bolivar, MO. Schools in attendance included: Bolivar, Buffalo, Carl Junction, Cassville, East Newton, Hillcrest, Hollister, Logan-Rogersville, Marshfield, Monett, Reeds Spring & Seneca.

Ozark, MO - Saturday, October 31, 2015 was the 3rd Annual Ozark Rotary Club's Trick or Trot 5K held along the Finley River. Proceeds from this event benefit the Ozark Community. Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
The main objective of Rotary is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarian's develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence.

Joplin, MO - Saturday, October 24, 2015 was the Annual Twilight Thriller 5K held at the Frisco Greenway South Trailhead in Joplin. Runners dressed in costumes and ran the beautiful, luminary-lit Frisco Greenway Trail at twilight. Participants also enjoyed pre-race entertainment, glow Twilight bracelets, 4 categories of costume awards, age category awards, music by a professional DJ, and post-race snacks including Starbucks coffee, hot chocolate, candy, cookies, and more.

Springfield, MO - Saturday, October 31, 2015 was the 6th Annual Run for the Orchard 5K, 1 Mile Fun Run & .25 Little Tot Run hosted by Willard Orchard Hills Elementary. This is one of the most family friendly events in the area! Proceeds from this event benefit the WOHE & Care to Learn Foundation.

Nixa, MO - Saturday, October 24, 2015, was the Class 4 District 6 Championships held at Inman Intermediate School's cross country course. The course consisted of 5000 meters of grass & rolling terrain. Teams in attendance included: Belton, Carthage, Joplin, Neosho, Nixa, Raymore-Peculiar, Smith-Cotton, Webb City, Willard, Republic, Lee's Summit West & McDonald County.
